Dear Members:

 

Welcome to summer.  As I write this letter, all the doors and windows are all open and it’s beautiful outside, it’s been a long time coming.  I hope you all have a great summer.

 

I am happy to report that we currently have 32 members.  This may not sound like a lot for our Chapter but we lost several members at the last renewal and now we are only one member away from where we were when I become President.  I know I’ve said it before but I think it’s worth mentioning again, thank you to all that have put your effort and energy into getting people interested in NAWIC.

 

Get ready to garden!  Our June meeting will be at the Home Depot in Sunnyvale just across the street from O’Donnell Plastering.  After the demonstration, we will have a pot luck and BBQ at O’Donnell Plastering.  Please bring your favorite dish, along with the recipe, for all of us to try.  I hope the weather holds.

 

Congratulations to all our Officer and Director candidates for our 2010/2011 term.  We have six women running for Directors, so we will vote at our June meeting.  Good luck to all. 

 

Our fundraiser has been moved to July.  Not sure of the date yet but stay tuned as Cheryl Abbott and Perry Saunders, CBT will be announcing all the details very soon. 

 

Our Scholarship Committee is working hard at reviewing the applications we received this year and hope the winner will be able to join us for our June meeting.  Won’t this month’s meeting be a great one for someone to attend for the very first time? 

 

Don’t forget to go on line and vote for your choice of National officers. If you are unsure and would like to get some input, please see Shawna.

 

It’s time to start thinking about our National Convention September 1^st through 4^th in Louisville, Kentucky.  This will be my third convention and I’m so excited to go to Kentucky.

 

We will not be having our Board or Dinner meeting in July so look forward to seeing everyone in August.
